“Basic saw. Cuts well, few features. Roars to life, no soft start.Left hand switch (still strange to me! ). Who cares about the guard? Stand is bigger than the saw, and heavier. 3″ range of adjustment on the stand,32″-35″, I believe. I’ve got it on a regular fixed base, but maybe I’ll use the wheelie someday.

“Simply put…A 5 Star Stand. Beats the Bosch Gravity Rise Stands hands down. This stand comes nearly fully assembled. Only had to put the rear bar on (4 bolts) and attached my saw to it (another 4 bolts). I owned a Bosch Gravity Rise stand and hand to assemble it. Although it was not difficult to do (about 30 to 45 minutes) it was still much more than the Makita stand needed. Very sturdy, well made; even more so than the Bosch. I agree having the air up style tires would be a nice addition (as the Bosch has), but they are very useable and seem to work just fine. The hand lever to adjust the stand up and down is sweet. I am very happy with this stand and I’m sure it will last for years no doubt!!!”
